1. What is an ERW Pipe Machine?

An ERW pipe machine, or Electric Resistance Welding (ERW) pipe machine, is a key piece of equipment specifically used to process steel strip into straight-seam welded steel pipe. Its operating principle is based on the resistance heating effect. High-frequency current is applied to the edges of the steel strip, rapidly heating them to the welding temperature. III. Full Production Process

The steel strip then enters a leveler to smooth out unevenness caused by winding and ensure its surface flatness meets subsequent processing requirements.

Forming and Welding: The leveled steel strip enters the forming unit, where it is gradually coiled into the desired tube shape. Next, it enters the high-frequency welding area, where the edges of the strip are rapidly heated by high-frequency current. Pressure is applied by squeeze rollers, fusing the edges together to form a weld.
